Andrea Jensen, MA, LMHCA
Hi! It’s nice to meet you. My name is Andrea. I am currently serving Washington state residents as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate, under the supervision of Rachel Hnizdil, LMFT. I am an enthusiastic and supportive psychotherapist, who believes empathy and compassion heal all wounds. I foster safety and trust in our time together as we work toward the life you want. It’s an honor and privilege to be a counselor; I am inspired daily by the resiliency and human spirit I witness in my work.
I am dedicated to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in overcoming trauma, depression, and anxiety, drawing on evidence-based practices to guide their journeys.
In addition to my clinical work, I have authored a catalog of best-selling workbooks designed to support children, teens, and adults in navigating their mental health. These resources have been embraced by parents, teachers, and fellow therapists, reflecting my commitment to making therapeutic tools accessible and impactful.
With a deep understanding of the complex intersections of identity, culture, and mental health, I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for all my clients to explore their experiences and foster lasting change.
My therapeutic philosophy integrates Person-Centered and psychodynamic theories, while my approach uses skills building that incorporates Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and The Interpersonal Outcomes Method. I often use meditation and art therapy as well in my practice.
For trauma, I am certified in Lifespan Integration, which is similar to EMDR. I also focus on DBT skills for coping and emotional regulation.
